Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church celebrates 147 years of service to the city of North Little Rock. Rev. Sims Ladell, Sr. is reputed to have founded and to have been the first pastor of record.
Rev. Frank James Williams, Rev. Nelson King Curry, and Rev. Victor Joe Moore succeeded him in pastorship. 

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and its various leaders have consistently maintained a focus on spiritual health of its membership. We host yearly community outreach activities aimed at sharing the love of Jesus and providing much needed relief to those in need. Our outreach includes back to school giveaways, holiday food baskets, hosting Thanksgiving dinner, clothing drives, shoe collections used for creating wells in a  developing nation, Christmas gift giveaways, and countless other events.

Mt. Olive has maintained long-standing participation in the Union District Sunday School and B.T.U. Congress.The earliest record of participation is 1952, at its development asan educational arm of the National Baptist Convention. Mt. Olive continues to shine as our current Pastor, Rev.Victor Joe Moore, serves as Assistant Dean of the Congress.
